Unleashing Creativity and Leadership: A Summer at Far Brook

Summer at Far Brook offers a unique blend of educational and recreational activities for children from Nursery 3s to 10th grade. Located in a nurturing environment, the camp aims to provide a well-rounded experience that includes art, science, outdoor exploration, movement, music, water activities, sports, and games.

Programs Tailored to Different Age Groups

The camp is divided into different age-specific programs to ensure that each child gets the most out of their summer experience:

  • Kit Camp (Grades Nursery 3 – Kindergarten): This program is designed for the youngest campers and focuses on age-appropriate activities like art, science, water play, movement, music, and games. Nature walks and free play on the playground are also part of the daily schedule. All activities are led by qualified specialists and counselors.
  • Cub Camp (Grades 1-3): This program is for slightly older children and includes activities like art, science, outdoor exploration, water activities, sports instruction, and archery. The activities are designed to be both fun and educational, led by knowledgeable specialists and counselors.
  • The Pack (Grades 4-6): This program is for the oldest group of day campers and offers a more diverse range of activities. Mornings are filled with sports, archery, creative arts, science, and outdoor exploration. Afternoons offer club-style activities, allowing campers to choose their interests. Clubs change weekly and may include activities like jewelry making, dance, and art studio.
  • Young Leaders Program (Grades 9-10): This program is designed to prepare teenagers for early work experiences. It focuses on responsibility, independence, teamwork, and willingness to try new things. Participants will apprentice with Lead Teachers, mentor younger campers, and participate in an activity of their choice.
